This is a video of an 8 month old baby who was born deaf hear his mother's voice for the first time. It's beautiful! I love it and it made me cry of course. If you have an extra moment it is worth a look see.

That is so wonderful. I have a very close friend whose daughter was born deaf. She has a very similar video, and it is so touching. Thank goodness for modern medical technology!
