fall is in the air............first edition

I have recently been feeling very grateful to be living in Santa Fe. Everything is so beautiful here in it's own little majestic way. The changing leaves of the aspens are no exception. Our little family took a trip up to see them yesterday but I must say that I was a little bit disappointed because many of them were still green and they hadn't quiet gotten to the gorgeous orangey auburn that I love so much. So, the good news is that I plan to go back next weekend for a second edition photo shoot. I'm not posting to too many photos today but I promise more next week.

Chloe's Closet Boutique Handmade Bib GIVEAWAY

I was already having a splendid day when I ran out to the mail box to find a scrumptious handmade bib from Carmen over at Chloe's Closet Boutique. She sent me an A*D*O*R*A*B*L*E "urban owls" bib which I love. The bib is a very generous size which is great because if any of you have babies, you know they eat like little Tasmanian devils. The front of the bib is covered with a very soft owl print fabric that's 100% cotton, which is a must for my babies, and the back is a lovely chenille. It's soft and furry but also absorbent which is great too. It features great attention to detail including a pearl button which I love. The little tag attached reads "Eat In Style" and little Milton will definitely be eating in style in this bib.

I always like to show one photo of the packaging. It's always a pleasant surprise when you receive something in the mail and it comes all wrapped up in a lovely package like this one.

fresh raspberry pie

Okay.........okay..............I'll admit it. I'm totally obssessed with baking pies. It seems like I've been dying to bake one at least every week lately. I keep telling my husband I really think it's because I'm pregnant. I think it's my nesting instincts working on over drive. My husband's worried that whatever it is, it's going to go away after I have the baby.  

Well, it's Sunday and my husband plays a church gig every Sunday morning for three hours and since we're a one car family little Milton and I decided to walk to the grocery for fresh berries and bake a raspberry pie. I must say it is one of my favorites so far. I ALWAYS use this pie crust recipe. It take 5 minuets and it is soooooo flaky. And I used this raspberry pie recipe.

saturday's farmer's market

This week's farmer's market was gorgeous as usual. The season is definitely changing and we are starting to see more and more large squash and root vegetables. Today we picked up some sun choke, some beautiful shallots,  a free range pork loin, pinto beans, and some purple viking potatoes.

Tilly Whistle handmade baby shoes GIVEAWAY {NOW CLOSED}

I was so delighted today when I opened up a pair of pink floral ballet slippers from Natalia over at Tilly Whistle.  Natalia makes unbelievably G*O*R*G*E*O*U*S handmade baby booties. As soon as I laid eyes on her little shoes I knew I would LOVE to feature them here on my blog.

She sent me these adorable little ballet slippers. I can't wait to put my little Ginger's toes into these. 

Look at the adorable packaging. Complete with a beautiful hand stamped card.

The shoes are flexible and the fabric is beautiful and very soft to the touch. The ribbons on the ballet slippers were also very soft, much softer than I expected. I love how on this particular pair the ribbon is green on one side and brown on the other. These are the perfect gift for a baby shower or baby birthday. They are too precious for words.

When I brought them in to show my husband he said, "Those are the most beautiful baby shoes I've ever seen" and then when I suggested he feel how soft they were he said "no, my hands are too rough" SO CUTE!
