Ginger's Nursery Reveal

F*I*N*A*L*L*YWe finished Ginger's nursery!! Hip Hip Hurray!We started construction on our house when I was about 6 months pregnant. This room used to be my husband's music studio. So once his new studio was finished we could turn this into a nursery for Ginger. We started to work on this about 2 months ago so it's not exactly all that I hoped it would be but it's simple and pretty adorable I think. I really wanted a chandelier and I may still find the time after she's born to get one but we just didn't have the time before her arrival.  And, yes I probably should have ironed the crib bedding and made sure every detail was in place but I'm only a week from my due date so it's not exactly the most pressing matter of business at the moment:) And sorry that my pictures aren't the best either. We have a nice camera but I have no idea how to use it properly and I just realized we also have photoshop but I don't know how to use that either. I recently bought the book "photoshop for dummies" so hopefully I'll learn to use it soon! Boy, I'm just a hot mess, aren't I? Does anybody have any photoshop tips for me? My favorite part of the whole thing is Ginger's custom crib bedding. When I started looking for crib bedding online I was shocked and appalled at how ugly and expensive everything was. I honestly couldn't find one thing I liked and the things that would have "settled" for were $400 and up. So, I of course went hunting on my favorite website, Etsy, and found Christina and her shop {ISLA CORRINE}. Christina custom made this crib set for me and I absolutely L*O*V*E it! It's exactly what I wanted and was hoping for! I got to choose all the fabrics and design the layout. It's perfect. I couldn't be more pleased. The bumper sheaths are even removable and washable! The pink fabric is Amy Butler with a yellow chevron stripe and a white swiss dot fabric. If you are looking for crib bedding or nursery decor I highly recommend her work. You can find her shop {HERE}.I also adore the print that we have framed here which my lovely friend and fellow blogger Jessica from {CIVETTA} found at this Etsy {SHOP}.The two bright, modern owls with the big eyes I purchased at {BELLAMINA}. I purchased the light pink, shabby looking one from {BWINKS}, the medium owl with the blue eyes was made by {WISE OLD OWL DESIGNS}and the smallest owl pillow was made by {PETUNIAS}.The gorgeous LOVE pillow cases came from {REVERIE-DAYDREAM BOUTIQUE}. I adore these pillow cases. I spotted them a long time ago and since we have decided to keep the adult bed in Ginger's room for now I knew these would be the perfect accessory. L*O*V*E!!!Oh and the little pink chandelier night light was a suggestion from my good friend Kendra that I got at Target in the Shabby Chic section!

Bellamina Owl GIVEAWAY

I'm not sure where or when this obsession began but quiet a few months back I decided to do a handmade owl theme in Ginger's nursery. I am totally obssessed with handmade owls!! I started paroosing my favorite place to shop for handmade, Etsy of course, and came across the A*M*A*Z*I*N*G shop Bellamina. I immediately bought one of shop owner Karen's large pink Bellamina Owl Pillows and was really, really pleased when I received it. I loved it so much I have since ordered this gorgeous owl pillow which is a slightly different style and this adorable little owl magnet.I must say that I am really impressed with the quality and craftsmen ship of the pillows from Bellamina. I have ordered owls from several different shops for Ginger's Nursery and Bellamina is definitely my favorite. I highly recommend her work. The colors are vibrant, the fabrics used are high quality and durable, and the designs are so fresh and modern; very eye catching.
