A Little Giveaway Just for the Heck of It

Okay folks, I have been seriously cleaning out my closet including shoes and accessories. I have been feeling so empowered by my weight loss. It feels great to really see results when you focus and work at it. I have lost 25 pounds so far. I am finally out of the plus sizes. YAY!!! I am almost half way there already and sooooooo excited about it. I still have 35 pounds to go but I know I can do it.
I bought a BUNCH of stuff from Forever 21 the other day to celebrate. I figure it's cheap enough that I can afford to buy some new outfits even if I won't fit in them soon.
Anyway, As I was cleaning out my closet I noticed that I still have this lovely J.Crew necklace that I have NEVER worn. Nope. Not even once.
Its really cute. It's long and hangs about mid chest. This length, although really cute, isn't great for me because I am well endowed. Anyway since it's J. Crew and brand spankin new I thought maybe I'd just give it to one of you since you all make me so happy everyday.

Enter to win it! Open Worldwide! The giveaway will end Friday June 4th.

Please share with me your most helpful and successful weight loss tip!

That's it! And Thanks so much. I love you all to death! You just make me happy all the time!

WOW! Thats a gorgeous necklace. I could wear that with everything, I just love it :)

My best weight loss trick is to move everything you need out of the kitchen so you are only in there to eat. pretend that room does not exist and you will not be tempted!

Hi! Its a beautiful necklace!

My best weight lost tip that is just putting my 1 1/2 year old in his stroller and going for a 5 mile walk with my friends. We go around 9am in the morning during the week while the hubbies are at work. It goes by so fast because Im with my girls talking about whatever!
Oh and weighing your self once a week!

Good Luck you can do it!

Forgive yourself. If you have a bad day and go off your diet don't let it get you off track just get right back on. Second exercise. Thirdly I think what you did, shoppping is great. When I was struggling to lose those hundred pounds, I would pull out a pic of me thin, stare at it, and motivate myself by envisioning how great I will feel again soon if I just keep up my routing. Your doing great. Thanks for the chance to win.

Two years ago I lost 60 pounds on the Weight Watchers diet. The most helpful hints would be to prepare everything, always have veggies and fruit washed and cut for easy snacking. Plus I wrote everything I ate down and calculated all the calories I could. Good luck. The most important part of weight loss is believing in yourself and wanting it for yourself!

I find that sometimes I have bad days and then I end up feeling guilty and feel like I've sabotaged my whole diet. The trick is not getting down and starting right back up immediately. A gain of a pound or two here and there is nothing! Keep your goal in sight!

The best way for me to lose weight is definitely the combo of working out and eating better, smaller portions and more often during the day to keep my metabolism going all throughout the day. Now if only I could keep up with it now that I have a one year old running around the house! Maybe now that he's almost running it will help me with the exercise part of my weight loss!

Celery. Yep, you can add it to anything hot or cold and it just works. You can stuff it with chicken salad etc and eat that instead of a sandwich with bread. It is crunchy, creative, and low calorie. Yet, celery.

My best weight loss tip is to have a friend/neighbor/family member to exercise with. If you commit to a goal together it will be easier to have someone to motivate you and more fun to go through it together.

Hey! I'm glad to hear you're losing weight, it's certainly a good feeling!
I lost 30 pounds in 30 days before my wedding last October by following the HCG diet. My parents introduced me to it and we all lost 30 pounds each. The diet runs on lean meats, fruits, and veggies. Try searching for HCG on Google or by going to your local health store, they might have it. :)Even though you are eating much less than normal, you will feel full after the first few days, and none of us experienced any ill effects. It's been 7 months and I only gained 4 of those pounds back. I'm on the diet again to get rid of my more stubborn weight in my thighs. :)

What a beautiful little 'happy'. One of my great friends gained 55 lbs just through life. No babies. She finally bit the bullet and started watching what she ate via weight watchers and got back to a size 6! in 8 months! She never even exercised! I can't seem to shake the extra 15 I carry around. ;( Maybe I should try weight watchers! ;)

The best thing for me is to eat healthy portiions, eat slow carbs and work out at least 30 minutes a day. That is it. No dieting, just a lifestyle change. Cheat only once a week.

WOW! Do we have to give weight loss tips?!! LOL How about healthy tips? I can do that!...Drink plenty of water a day, make sure you eat some protein with your fiber for breakfast, and get your fruit and veggies in...preferably before 7 p.m. All of this keeps your immune system in good working order too! :-)

PoetessWug said...

Oh yeah....and get plenty of sleep! The body and mind need the 'down time' for repairs! LOL

you are awesome Hanna :) WAHOO for getting fit! Here are a few things that have helped me get more fit and feel better over all:
- don't eat after 6:00
- drink LOTS of water (constantly sipping all day)
- eating lots of salads...without dressing, instead a little bit of oil & vinegar.

I'd LOVE to win that fabulous necklace!! crossing my fingers!

Congrats on the weight loss! My best advice is to make sure you eat smaller portions. Stop eating when you're full, even if the food is realllly good!

It also helps me when I weigh myself everyday.

sophieandmomma said...

What has helped me out is eating a consistent breakfast in the morning. Eating breakfast in the morning has helped me feel more energetic...so I feel like my energy levels get a kick start. I feel better as well as have lost weight simply by eating!

I also have found that I have not been as hungry for lunch? I do not barrel down a whole lot of food for lunch because I ate earlier in the morning! So that helps!

Gorgeous necklace....this would be a nice treat!

What a great job you are doing; I am in awe since I have the same fifteen pounds I lose and gain back over and over again. You are an inspiration.

My best tip is to not eat over the sink or alone in the kitchen, which I do too much of.

I finally lost the last 12 pounds of my baby weight by using loseit.com. It made me focus on what was going into my body versus how many calories I was burning. I LOVE it!

What helped me the most was making an effort to, at teh very least to my situps and legs exercise routine. It definitely helped if I added my mile in the morning and other excercises, but if I was having a bad day I would make sure to at least to my situps and leg work- after all I could do most of it on the bed!

Believe in yourself from beginning to end and never be afraid to give yourself a pat on the back if you've done well. You're your own harshest critic but you're also the one capable of sky-rocketing your confidence like no one else can.

Love that necklace! Congrats on the steady weightloss!! Such a good feeling! I too am halfway to my weightloss goal. It feels great! My biggest weight loss tip is that only when "I" wish to lose weight for ME, do I actually keep the motivation. Not for my mom, or to impress anyone- just for me! :-) To be healthy, not skinny! Hope you're well!

I wanted to lose 10 pounds and I found a way that worked for me.

I was already eating healthy, but I knew I needed to cut down on the portions of food I was eating.

I drank a full glass of water or milk before each meal. I ate smaller portions, but still felt full.

It took about 4 months, but I lost the 10 pounds and have managed to keep them off.

Thanks for the great giveaway.

I once had a silver necklace like this and adored it. Until it broke off and was lost forever.

I went from a size 16 to 6. First I was realistic. It took 5 years. Second, I changed my cravings, dropped 75% of the carbs, replaced sugary drinks with water or Splena sweetened tea, drank chocolate milk when I wanted a sweet treat, and made better choices (against my will) when we dined out.. I go walking but not all the time. And I don't do fads! Congratulations on acheiving your goals so far!

cute necklace! my best weight loss tactic is consistancy. whatever your plan, you won't see results unless you are completely consistant. good luck!! congrats on your progress so far!

Congrats! That's a great ip in an of itself, celebrate your successes!

I also do much better when I write down what I eat or better yet, plan out all my meals and snacks for the week. Keeps me from straying "off plan"

My best and most successful weight loss tip is Jillian Michaels! i love to do her 30 day shred, it only takes about 30 minutes a day but it works and you feel great afterwords (even though she just kicked your butt)! I also like to plan my meals and make sure I have plenty of fruits and veggies in the kitchen. For my favorite foods that aren't so healthy, I try to find a similar but healthier substitute. For example, I am a chip addict, but I don't buy chips anymore, I buy pretzels instead. Works for me!

Love it!!! I think my best weight loss tip would be not eating after 8:30pm and making sure I work out first thing in the morning...these two things really were successful for me in my weight loss journey!

I gained 50 lbs with each of my two pregnancies. Could never lose all the baby weight since I don't have much time to exercise plus I'm just plain ol' lazy. The only thing that helped me lose most of it was to just *not* buy junk food. If I don't see it at home, I can't eat it. tylerpants(at)gmail.com

trixx said...

Honestly the best tip is to do it in baby steps. Eat small meals frequently, get rid of soda and sugary drinks gradually, make healthier substitutes etc. Every little bit helps. Oh and if you can, walk everywhere!
