Ask Me

Okay........I have to admit the Vlog (video Blog) yesterday was fun so I thought maybe I could do a Q and A session where I answer reader questions in VLOG format.

What do you think? I promise I will brush my hair and not use my iphone in the dark with no tripod to record it :)

I tried to do a Q and A session before but nobody really asked me anything so it didn't go so well. Hopefully if a get a few questions this time around. I'll keep in open for a week and then next weekend answer:)

So feel free to ask away. I am obviously not shy and will answer you like from running, to family, to past, to current.

What made you start blogging and have you ever said anything really stupid on your blog that you regret?

First of all, thank you for creating this blog! I found it a month or two ago and you inspired me to start running, and I love it. My question is: how long did it take you to run longer runs like 7-10 miles each run? Also do you stretch after each run and how long ? Thank you for being a great example and inspiration!!

How do you manage it all - how do you balance spending time with your husband, kids, working, baking, housekeeping, and running?!

What do you think about while your running? Do you listen to music, if so, what's your playlist like?

I'd like to know more about your weight loss journey, (I'm in the same place weight wise you were when you started.) I'm really struggling... Having foot issues, (plantar factitious among them) making it difficult. Walking and starting to run was my main thing! As an emotional eater, its is so hard! Didn't mean to babble, the question I took so long getting to was... What did you do to keep pushing on, even when it seemed like you weren't making progress?

I would love to know if you followed a specific training plan before your half marathon and how many miles per week were you running to prep for it? Love your blog, you were one of the people who inspired me to start running, I'm training for a 5K in a few weeks with my ultimate goal to run a half marathon in 6 months!

I've got a few questions for you! 1) When you first started running, like wayy back to your first run, how far did you go and how long did it take you? 2) How did you and your husband meet? And 3) You mention God a lot, do you identify with any particular faith? Looking forward to your next vlog!

I feel like a copy cat saying this because so many already have but I'm going to say it anyway: I love your blog and you REALLY DID inspire me to start running again. Thank you!

I've been running for about 5 weeks and I'm hoping to do my first race this summer, a 10k. Oddly enough, I get way more stressed out thinking about THE RACE than thinking about the mileage I'll have to run. I have no illusions about my abilities and this race is about FINISHING for me, not making a certain time and certainly not about winning.

My question is more of a very general request. Tell us about races! What is the whole process like? How early do you have to be? Do you do any warm-up beforehand? What do you eat for breakfast? Anything you have to share about race day. I have no idea what to expect.

Thanks! :)

How did you come up with your blog title, what does it mean? What language is it in? How do you say it :) Ok so I think I know some of the questions, but still :) And it's all kind of one question in parts :)

1. What's a typical day like for you (working or not)? I know you talk alot about working overtime/sleeping weird hours. I don't know how you do it, you are a rockstar!
2. Ditto to what Heather said about races. What is the process like? (I've ran before but not big races).
3. What would you change in your life if you were $10,000 richer?

This is fun, thanks for doing this!
