THE BOOT IS OFF!!!!!!
I had my appointment early this morning with my orthopedist and he gave me the okay to take off the boot and SLOWLY start back in to a workout routine.
This is me before leaving for my first post boot workout!!!!! SO EXCITED!!!!!!! I had to wear a skirt because.....well........they just make you feel better!!!! If you don't already have some workout skirts I highly recommend them!!!!
My doctors advice way take it slow, build your quads to compensate for your calf until it can fill out again and DON'T RUN ON THE TREADMILL.
I knew I loved my doctor. I hate the treadmill so I was pleased with that. He basically said he thought the treadmill was the worst way to run. OUTSIDE always = BETTER!!!!!
I'm going to run on dirt to start and I'm going to start a whole new regimen of SERIOUS SQUATS!!!!!
He also told me to get back on the spinning! SPIN. SPIN. SPIN!!!!!!!! Oh and I am so excited to get back into my spin classes!!!! YIPPEEEE!!!!!!!!!!
I NEED BIG QUADS!!!!!!!
After my workout I got a little teary because I was so happy to have my leg back. I am going to be very careful with it.
SO what did I do today?
I ran 1/2 a mile at 10:30 pace and did 50 minuets on the StairMaster! I could tell right away that my legs were weak and needed some major work so now the real work begins!!!!
Also did Some free weights and now it's time for push ups, squats and crunches!!!!!
PLUS!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly the kindness some people hold in their hearts astounds me. I am SO grateful I will never be able to put it into words. This is enough diapers to last me 2 months!!!!!!
That probably;y means I can pay my mortgage on time this month.

YAY!! Hanna that is awesome news. And I hear ya about the love and support that can come in such surprising ways. We have been blessed over and over again with little and big waves of support while we struggle thru the financial set backs. God always comes thru in such surprising ways.
I may have said this before but it is worth repeating-- especially now that you need to rebuild your leg muscles in safe measures and because you are pregnant: try Curves!! I love love love Curves workout, and I'm not just saying it because I used to own one or because I work at one but because the benefits of the workout are so good!!!!
That is so great that you got your boot off and got a great work out in! You look fabulous in your work out skirt.
That is so dang sweet of them to send you diapers! Its so crazy how quick you go through them. What awesome friends :D
