Merry......Merry

*snipits* Sometimes it's just Necessary!
Sometimes it is totally necessary to accessorize with your daughter's headbands!
And sometimes it is totally necessary to tease the bejeezes out of your hair. No I am not from Texas nor the south but you know what they say,
"The higher the hair, The Closer to Heaven"
Sometimes It's totally necessary to make ridiculous amounts of crafts, especially around the holidays when Pregnant!

DIY Mr. Deer and Mrs. Doe Glitter Heads
I have been seeing these golden glitter reindeer heads all over the Internet.
Well, I decided like so many other I couldn't live without one in my house and then I had the brilliant idea that Mr. Deer would DEFINITELY need a Mrs. Doe to go with him so I came up with the idea to make a silver female doe head to go beside him.
I think they came out gorgeous!!!!
Oh and one more thing. I didn't even use glue and glitter!!!!
That's right, NO MESS AT ALL!!!!!!!
Supplies:
rubber cement
scissors
card stock paper for stencil
pencil
glitter paper from Hobby Lobby
2 blank canvases
Total Cost: around $15.00
First I found a template for the deer head stencil on the Internet {HERE}. I couldn't find a template of a female doe so I just googled some picture sand found that they usually have shorter horns and longer ears so I just made one myself.
1. Fist print out your stencil, pencil onto a heavy card stock, cut it out and then you are ready to cut out your deer heads on the glitter paper.
2. Next simply flip the glitter paper over and with a pencil draw the outline of the stencil on the back on the glitter paper.
3. Now get your blank canvas, pain the back of the glitter deer head with rubber cement and place in the center of the canvas to dry.
It's that simple! DONE!
VOILA!!!!!!

Please welcome the wonderful Carissa!!!!

And............get this...........she's a runner!!! A woman truly after my own heart!!!!
i am so excited to be here today! i'm carissa from carissamiss.com. i "met" hanna and instantly liked her. we both share a love of good food {especially treats} and running! before i get to business and share my amazing secret fudge recipe, i'll share a little bit about me!
i am a DIYer to the core. we recently bought a house and have been working hard at beautifying it and making it ours. the latest project was building our own kitchen table! it was a great project to do together and i look at it every day and smile. we have a two year old who keeps us happy and hopping!
i love to dabble in photoshop creating christmas cards, baby announcements, and editing pics.
i love to cook and i blog about my menu planning ideas. i've found that doing a monthly menu helps us out the most! sound daunting? you can use mine until you get the hang of it.
i love trying new recipes i've found on pinterest {follow me} and also sharing my own.
so without further ado, here is my favorite fudge recipe.
i can't wait for you to make this and tell me that you will never ever make regular fudge again. the secret is in the marshmallows...maybe you've seen this before or maybe you haven't, but you can't deny how easy it is!
Ingredients:
3 cups chocolate chips
1 can sweetened condensed milk
3 c mini marshmallows
1 tsp vanilla
drop of peppermint flavoring
Directions:
1) melt chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk in microwave until smooth. i do this in 30 second chunks so the chocolate doesn't scorch.
2) add marshmallows and return to microwave, heating just until marshmallows puff up. do this step in 30 second segments. stir until completely melted and smooth.
3) add vanilla and peppermint and combine.
4) pour into your buttered square pan. i like to put plastic wrap in the pan and then pour the fudge right into the plastic wrap. you can see it in the pic.
5) crush a candy cane and sprinkle the crumbs on the top of the fudge.
5) chill until you can cut cleanly! a couple hours inside.
thanks for letting me share a little about me and my yummy treats! i'd love for you to come on over and see what else i have cooking!

I can't believe I am even going to tell you this.....if my husband reads this he's going to KILL ME!!
Once in a blue moon and I mean really, not that often, but still............I'll take a couple swigs out of the milk carton!!!
EEEKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know soooooo bad and soooooo gross. I only do it like 4 times a year and it's usually in the middle of the night when I'm too lazy to get a glass.
#2.
I don't like the telephone! In fact it kinda scares me. I NEVER and I mean NEVER answer it. If you want to talk to me you have to leave a message and maybe I'll call you back.
I know, totally bad friend!!!!
#3.
I also NEVER and I mean NEVER answer the door unless I am expecting someone or something to arrive on my doorstep.
My husband and I have a fortress around our house and it is not meant to be entered unless invited. Seriously, if you come over unannounced I will never answer the door.
Never.
Even if you know I'm inside, I won't care, I'll let you pound for hours.
I know, we have serious privacy issues, What can I say, I don't like surprises!!!
REALLY DON'T LIKE SURPRISES!!!!!
#4.
With every pregnancy after the first one I have had horrible anxiety about the pain of the birth. I have had 100% natural childbirth with both my kids, like not even a tylenol, natural!!!
My first pregnancy I was in total blissful ignorance and then once I knew how bad it was going to hurt, well, now I just can't get it out of my mind, Everyone says, you will forget the pain of childbirth!
THEY ARE LYING!!!!!!
#5.
Five years ago I bought my husband a heated toilette seat for Christmas!

Egg Nog Bread
Only a few days left till Christmas!!!!
Need a quick EASY!!!!! seriously EASY!!!!! thing to bring to a relative's or friend's house?
Here's your solution!!!!!

Ingredient's:
2 cups flour
1 3/4 cups sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp nutmeg
1 cup egg nog
1/2 cup milk
3 eggs
1 tsp rum extract
convectioners sugar for sprinkling
Recipe:
In a large mixing bowl wisk together flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and nutmeg. Once mixed add all wet ingredients and beat on medium or high for 3 minuets.
Pour into a loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 65-70 min. or until knife comes out clean.
I happen to be slightly obsessed with egg nog. In fact I buy it as soon as they start stocking it in the stores. I like to try out all the different brands to compare them.
I even by Easter Egg Nog when it arrives at Whole Foods in the Spring!!!
Yes......clearly I have a problem!

They Could Only be Angels
My husband and I have always known we wanted a bigger family.
When we decided to have another baby both our other children honestly were nothing but *delightful* not they aren't delightful now but things change and children go through phases . Honestly, Ginger was really still just a baby and little Milton was still so innocent and angelic.
Whenever I would here people talk about "the terrible two's" I never understood what the big deal was. Little Milton had NEVER had anything of a tantrum I heard other mother's talk about!
Until now...............
Ginger has always been very spirited, even since she was a baby!
She takes after me I suppose.....SIGH!!!!
Yes, I can be quiet the handful when I want to be and her true colors didn't start coming out until a couple months ago and my sweet little Milton I think has been left with less attention than he was used to because of Ginger's episodes.
So in turn, he too started to act out.
And you know what?
It's okay!!!
It's Normal!!
It's what toddlers do!!!!!
Each and every day I pull out every strand of patience I have left inside me and that's okay too.
No one ever said having 3 babies in 3 years would be easy!
Far from it!
And most days........at this time, after the chaos and mess and noise is over with, I sit here in silence thinking about how much I love these kids, I adore these kids, I would give my life for them in a split second.
They are my world, my every thing, the reason I life and breathe every day.
Yes, there are struggles, there are tantrums, there is screaming, hitting, banging, and kicking but above all that
there is L*O*V*E, a HUGE abundance of love!!!!!
There is no way for me to describe what I see when I look at these little people........I see little angels.
So innocent, so good and pure in their little souls just asking for guidance and attention and love.
I feel so honored that they chose me to be their mama, they chose me to be their guide in life.
What an amazing honor that is!!!
Honestly, the greatest honor anyone could be rewarded.

*Snipits* Tis The Season
Ginger and I just having a little play time although her face doesn't show it.
She doesn't like photos much but this morning I snapped a few cute ones where she's actually smiling. I'll show them in a later post.
And me and my Milton! My first born, my baby boy. He hates it when I say that buy the way. He always corrects me and says, "I'm not a baby, I'm a B-I-G boy"
Speaking of charming "big boys", Milton looked at me this morning. I mean REALLY looked at me and then said, "mommy I like your hair and your eyes look pretty."
WOW.......I think that southern gentleman I married might be giving our toddler lessons on the side!!!
Good Job Daddy!!!
He's going to make somebody a very happy lady one day!
Warms my heart to see him being so polite, so aware, so present!
This week we made the traditional plaster hand molds as Christmas tree decorations. I was surprised at how hard it is to get the kids to hold their hands straight enough for me to push it in.
They could have been better but I'd say we did pretty darn good!!!!
A very fun Christmas tradition I would say.
Once they dried, we popped them out of the molds and wrote their names and date son the back!
HA!!!!
I love this photo!!!!
Both my little monsters dressed in super hero capes sitting at the adult table eating mounds of Egg Nog Bread!
CUTIES!!!!!
Sadly, we cannot find our box of stockings ANYWHERE!!!!
And do to our budget I had to go to target and buy the cheapest stockings they had.
SO here you go.
Cheap Target stockings. I thought they were actually not that bad!!!
Kinda cute in a hokey kinda way!!!!
